    Re: MMI issue

It happened to mine in the first week, but so far only once. I was driving along and randomly lost all sound and picture. It was back up about two minutes later. It's a known issue and apparently it's why none of the first landed Q5's had NAV.

There is a software update that will be performed at your next service. If your next service will be a while or you are generally concerned, call your dealer and ask about the MMI software update. They should be able to book you in to get it done.

As a side, if the MMI shuts off and does not reboot you can manually reset it. (Not unlike a PC Alt+Ctrl+Del.) Press and hold the SETUP button, the control knob (button) and the upper right control button at the same time.

    Re: MMI issue

This has happened only a couple of time @ the dealership. When the Q5 was launched, I was in contact with Audi Germany and MMI software engineers. I had one just last month. As of this time Audi doesn't know what is causing this, but they are working on it. When I test all MMI systems with the scan tool, everything checks out OK. Just take it into your local dealer and see if they can call Audi Tech Assistance and let them know there is another Q5 with this issue. The more cars they know about, possibly the faster they will find a solution. Hope this helps.
