In looking over the Featured AZ'er articles these past few months, you might think we're biased towards the color red. Let me assure you, it's not intentional. As they say, red cars are "ticket magnets". This perhaps relates here as well, because red cars just naturally stand out from the crowd. They get you noticed. Sometimes in bad ways, and in this case (we like to think) good ways too. But there's definitely one way that this month's Featured AZ'er is different from the previous four red Audis we've featured, and no it's not because it's the first red B7 to get the nod. This month we feature our very first female AZ'er. Her name is Marissa (or redhott06 as you may know her if you're a regular in the
B7 A4 Forum) and we're proud to feature her and her Brilliant Red 2.0T sedan for the month of October.

Q (Audizine): First question, when did you get your Audi?
A (redhott06): In April of 2006.
Q: How has your ownership been so far?
A: Great, she has given me a few problems here and there, but overall I couldn't be happier about the car.
Q: Do you think you'll get another one in the future?
A: I would like to keep this car and eventually get a used Porsche. I want something that's small and quick out of the box!
Q: Is this your first Audi?
A: Yes it is.
Q: How long have you been into Audis and into the European tuning scene?
A: For about two years. I started getting into it after my first Waterfest in 2006.
Q: And how long have you been into cars in general, as an enthusiast?
A: Probably about two years. I always liked cars, but I never thought I would be modifying them. I got my first set of wheels not long after I got the A4, and it was all downhill from then on.
Q: Where do you think your somewhat new found passion and enthusiasm comes from?
A: My father has always owned and loved German cars. I think some of that enthusiasm rubbed off on me.
Q: What do you most love about your car?
A: I love the front end, especially since I repainted the grille and filler plate. It just looks so damn mean coming up in the rear view.
Q: What's your biggest peeve in regards to the car, the one thing you just can't stand?
A: The stock seats! I can't go around a turn without sliding all over the place.
Q: Please describe your modding style. Do you prefer more go, more show, or a combo of both?
A: I think my car represents a nice mix between show and go. I love how my car looks unique compared to every other A4 on the road. I also love going fast! Unfortunately, Stage 2 is as far as I can go right now.
Q: Do you perform any of the work yourself, or do you leave that for a shop?
A: I have done minor things such as the intake and painting my calipers. For other things, I am lucky enough to have a great guy/tech that does most of my work. Poul at Driversport always takes great care of my girl.
Q: Which mod are you the most proud of or happy with?
A: My wheels. I think they flow really well with the car. I never get tired of looking at them.
Q: Please describe your fondest memory of owning, modifying, or driving your A4?
A: The drive up to Limerock for the Porsche cup. The twists and turns were awesome, and the weather was beautiful. I really got to drive the car and enjoy all the money I've put into it.
Q: What would be in your ultimate two-car garage, if money were no object yet you only had room for two vehicles?
A: A green GT3RS and a red R8.
Q: What do your friends and family think about your automotive passion?
A: My friends think I am a little crazy, but they have come to accept it. My family thinks the car is a money pit, but they still buy me parts for birthday presents.
Q: How does your love for cars and your Audi affect your life? Does it play a very big part?
A: Yes, I am always talking about my car. My friends and family get pretty annoyed by it. I also have to limit where I can drive because my car is so high maintenance!
Q: What brought you to Audizine, and how long have you been a part of the community?
A: I was searching around for pictures and found Audizine. I've been on here about two years now.
Q: When you're not on Audizine, or out driving the car, what do like to you do for fun?
A: I like to horseback ride, hang out with friends and have a good time. I like anything that gets my adrenaline pumping.
Q: And what about the day job, anything interesting?
A: I am a student at Villanova University during the year, but during the summer I typically work in a real state development office. This past summer, I worked at a Audi/VW/Porsche tuning shop.
Q: Do you have any advice for your fellow enthusiasts, a bit of wisdom you'd like to share?
A: Drive your car! I am not a huge fan of garage queens. I modify my car so I can enjoy it on the road, not just looking at it.
Q: Sounds like good advice to me. So lastly, do you have anyone you'd like to mention or thank?
A: My family, friends, and specifically Poul and Greg at Driversport for all their help with my car. Thanks to Dylan and Alex for the great pictures.
